If you link to content that the Library has licensed for use off campus, you need to use a proxy prefix when you add your link in BBLearn. See the following example:

Proxy for alexanderstreet.com:

  • On campus access is not an issue obviously because the Linfield IPS for this product are recognized by Alex Street.
  • Off Campus: Rob has set up the proxy for this product already. But remember, each product needs a proxy “prefix” to engage the CATNet ID login screen which then gives people the chance to authenticate. Once authenticated, they “get” an approved ip address, just as if they are on campus. The Linfield Library pages are all set with proxy prefix for all products – Anyone adding a url to BB of licensed content will have to add this proxy prefix to the url to allow it to work off campus:

https://ezproxy.linfield.edu/login?url= (notice the https)

Example:
https://ezproxy.linfield.edu/login?url=http://mcom.alexanderstreet.com (or the url for whatever the video is).
